Applicants from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are preferred as all events are in Eastern Time, although applicants outside the GTA are welcome to apply with the understanding that their experience may differ.

We are seeking Engagement Managers with 4+ years experience leading teams and working with clients within a consulting firm or similar business environment and/or had demonstrated leadership qualities in previous Endeavour engagements. As the Engagement Manager of the consulting team, you will have the opportunity to lead a 6-month engagement from September 2025 – March 2026 to provide strategic management advice to the leadership of a non-profit organization. Teams are typically composed of five consultants, led by an engagement manager and with mentorship from a project advisor with subject matter expertise in the industry.
This is a rewarding volunteer experience that requires a time and team commitment. If the 6-month period (September 2025 – March 2026) may not be ideal for your schedule, we encourage you to apply in the next round.

What you will do as an Engagement Manager
The Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the consulting engagement, including:
1) Project Leadership & Management;
2) Client Leadership and Relations;
3) Advisor Relations;
4) Team Member Development; and
5) Organizational Development & Knowledge Management.
Endeavour will supply both a project advisor as well as project management guidelines to support the Engagement Manager.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Endeavour’s engagement manager opportunities, you must have a post-secondary education or equivalent experience, 4+ years’ work experience with a focus in business development, sales, marketing, strategy, operations, non-profits, government roles (directly or indirectly), digital marketing, digital operations and/or digital transformation automation.
You should also be adept at remote work and be available for events and meetings on weeknights or weekends during your consulting engagement. Of particular note are the event dates hosted on select Saturday mornings on Eastern Time noted at the end of this posting.
Our teams are hybrid
At this time, the orientation will be held in person in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Projects will be held online or in person, depending on the preference of the teams and clients. Endeavour will make the necessary tools available for online collaboration and meetings.
Engagement Manager candidates require the following qualifications:
- Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in your past positions or outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; preparation and presentation of visual PowerPoint decks and reports to senior executives would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment; experience in leading project team, solving project issues and conducting data analysis would be considered an asset
- Initiative taker, eager to break new ground, create opportunities for others
- Project management experience
- Recommended 4+ years full-time work experience in the private/public/non-profit sector
- Asset but not required: Consulting and non-profit experience

To be a successful Engagement Manager, you are responsible for the following:
- Participating in all orientation and training sessions.
- Project Leadership & Management: Leading a team of 4-6 volunteer consultants, you are responsible for delegating tasks effectively and providing clear instructions for the team, (e.g. assigning team members to lead a sub-workstream). This involves facilitating team progress, ensuring that timelines and project deliverables are met, and actively contributing to the project by overseeing the development of a statement of work based on team consultations with the client and project advisor.
- Client Leadership and Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction. You are tasked with leading the development of strategic options and recommendations, and presenting these to the client.
- Advisor Relations: Engaging with Endeavour’s Advisory Committee and Executive Team, sharing experiences and insights, and seeking guidance to enhance project outcomes.
- Team Member Development: Focusing on coaching and mentoring your team of consultants and providing guidance to help develop their skills and capabilities.
- Organizational Development & Knowledge Management: Contributing to the growth and development of the organization by sharing feedback and experiences with the Endeavour Executive Team. You will work with the team to research, collect, analyze, and synthesize data, thereby contributing to the organization’s knowledge base and expertise.

Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview to take place on zoom during the weekend of August 9th and 10th, 2025. The interview will include behavioral and situational questions, as well as a discussion on a non-profit case to be provided in advance.

Based in Toronto, Endeavour Consulting for Non-Profits is a Canadian charity that provides management consulting to improve organizational capacity and community impact for non-profits that otherwise cannot afford professional consulting. Endeavour has two consulting engagement rounds during the year, in the fall and in the spring. For each round, Endeavour will recruit and match teams of skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations in need of pro bono consulting.
