This is a rare volunteer opportunity for an emerging or experienced marketing leader to help shape our brand story and expand our presence in the Canadian nonprofit sector.  You will lead a team of brand, social media and content experts to create and execute our brand and marketing strategy.   You will also benefit from opportunities to demonstrate social leadership, to enhance your skills and to connect with a robust community of professionals with diverse backgrounds and experiences that share your values.

We are seeking candidates that are able to make a two-year commitment to ensure stability on the team and the ability to both create and implement strategies.


You will be responsible for the following:

  • Creating our brand story and developing a strategy to raise our profile and affinity across the non-profit sector.
  • Developing and executing marketing and communications strategies, plans and messages that enhance Endeavour’s brand, reach and credibility with non-profit leaders/organizations (clients), professionals (volunteers), corporations (partners/clients), funders and donors
  • Creating marketing and communications materials, including impact stories/reports and sponsorship/donor reports
  • Managing various outreach channels, social media, web, mailing lists and events
  • Developing brand and marketing KPIs and dashboards to measure success and preparing Board reports as needed
  • Maintaining and communicating standards, processes and guidelines

As Vice-President, you will also be responsible for management and leadership functions, including:

  • Recruiting and managing direct reports to carry out responsibilities of the division
  • Working with direct reports to develop annual objectives and discuss personal volunteer goals
  • Collaborating with the executive team to set and achieve strategic goals
  • Participating in regular meetings with the executive team and direct reports
  • Overseeing the division’s budget and ensuring the division adheres to financial policies
  • Maintaining organizational information for the division on the corporate portal
  • Reporting updates to the Board of Directors as required



  • Relevant brand, marketing, communications and social media experience
  • Excellent leadership, management, teamwork and communications skills
  • Strong initiative and follow-through, attention to detail and results-oriention
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual work environment
  • Minimum 2 years commitment


  • Experience using WordPress, WordPress themes and Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Photoshop software
  • Knowledge of graphic design, visual design and user experience design
  • Marketing and/or non-profit industry relationships are an asset
  • Endeavour or similar pro bono/skills-based volunteering experience
