Manager, Talent Acquisition 

Talent Management Division of Endeavour Consulting for Non-Profits


What we’re looking for

We are seeking 2 volunteers to lead the recruitment and selection of our volunteers with Endeavour. At Endeavour, we are a 100% volunteer-run organization passionate about enabling non-profit organizations to improve and sustain their community impact. To support our mission, the Talent Management Division meets with engaged skilled individuals and pairs them with projects that enable them to grow and meet new colleagues. Who you likely are

  • Keen to meet new people to learn about their drivers for volunteering
  • Seeking to improve on the recruitment experience
  • Excited to understand the unique aspects of each cohort of volunteers and to use the information to evolve our talent acquisition process
  • Skilled in or interested in developing your Google Workspace skills (e.g., Google Sheets/Slides/Doc/Forms and Google Apps Script)
  • Energized by working in a small and dynamic team from diverse education and career backgrounds and problem solving perspectives


Key responsibilities



  • Leading and enhancing recruitment process including advertising, application intake, screening, interviewing, selecting and staffing projects
  • Recruiting, training, and managing the Recruitment Committee to support the screening and interviewing process


Content expertise

  • Attending Endeavour events to speak with current and past volunteers about returning volunteer opportunities
  • Documenting and refining Endeavour’s volunteer management processes


Program operations

  • Preparing and updating the recruitment process each round
  • Implementing the recruitment process by hosting Recruitment Committee discussion sessions
  • Screening applications and conducting interviews as a member of the Recruitment Committee
  • Managing account, including responding to volunteer inquiries, forwarding messages to appropriate executives, and archiving





  • Long-term commitment to Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits (1-2 years)
  • Ability to collaborate and deliver results in a virtual work environment for 3-5 hours a week
  • Strong motivation, initiative and independence to lead the recruitment process and identify and implement program enhancements
  • Ability to manage and promptly respond to daily email communications 
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend activities (i.e., Sunday morning 10am 1-hour team meetings) and increased demands during peak recruitment cycle (January to February and July to August).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills



  • Former/existing Endeavour consultant or engagement manager experience is an asset 
  • Prior experience with volunteer recruitment and retention is an asset
  • Prior experience with Endeavour Recruitment Committee is an asset
